Five original miracles hiding inside a popular party game

There’s a ridiculous little game from Exploding Kittens called You Lying Sack, created by non-other than Penn Jillette.

It’s meant to be played at family gatherings - a mix of bluffing, psychology and laughter.

Players reach into a sack filled with foam Bad Things and one Good Thing. They hide what they grabbed, look their friends in the eye, and say the same sentence:

“My hand is full of bad things. Will you take them?”

That’s it. That’s the whole game. It’s designed for parties, not performance. 

So of course it started as “I wonder if there’s a trick in this” and quickly became “There are five, and they’re all too good to leave in a notebook.”

EFFECT:

The performer takes a random bunch of items out of his pockets and puts them on the table. The participant makes several free choices which results in all but one of the objects being eliminated and pocketed, leaving just the wallet.

The performer points out that there is a piece of paper sticking out of the wallet and when the participant removes it and reads it – the performer has predicted the outcome with 100% success!
